Our Bondage 101 demo at Sudbury Pride in July was well attended!  25 people showed up from all walks of life, with a great mix of genders, lifestyles, and experience spending time together, learning, and chatting with other interested people..

We went through the different purposes for bondage (sensuous, power play, role play, control, as a challenge to get out of – to name but a few).  We considered the different approaches we come at bondage from  – artistic, practical, fetish, complete immobilization, etc.  And we looked at different materials that work – cotton rope, hemp rope, nylon rope, handcuffs – and materials that are crap to work with (polypropilene rope).  We went through basic safety issues, how not to impede circulation, and situations where different bondage types work better than others.

On the practical side our eager demo bottom from Ottawa came in very handy demonstrating wrist ties, leg ties, hog-tying — and how to wriggle out of bondage and show off behind the Demo Top’s back while he’s distracted talking to the audience.

It was fun and friendly, and a great time.
